We
set of from Shangrila in freezing conditions. It had snowed overnight
on all the surrounding peaks making the scenery stunning. The road was
quiet and tarmac: perfect!
We
quickly warmed up as the road undulated through Yak filled grassland.
We ate our lunch in a wetland "of international importance" that
unfortunately many other people had decided  wasn't so important not
to litter. Then we climbed 2 big passes both with amazing views of snowy
mountains from the top. We camped at the top of the second and bundled
down for a cold night.
